Tell us about your Spray Plant 2K journey:

I studied Maths at York University and received a BSC Honors. After University, I was looking for employment and when a role became available at Spray Plant 2K, I applied and got the job!

The role initially involved admin and dispatch task, but I have a keen eye for detail and was keen to develop operational processes. Alongside this I manage sales and purchase orders, stock control and organise sometimes quite complex paperwork for overseas dispatch.

Today, I am in charge of technical systems, optimising processes and quality control. I am also responsible for ensuring SP2K meets ISO standards.

I may also be the first person to pick up the phone and help you with your enquiry, something I found really challenging in the beginning. I'm definitely more confident and, although I'm not one of SP2K's engineers, I have soaked up a lot of technical knowledge, and am looking forward to learning how to test a Graco King in the near  future.

What do you like about your job?

I love the variety of work. I like developing streamlining processes. I think my biggest achievement though it moving Dave from one finger typing on the computer keyboard to working with both hands and multiple fingers!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I've recently taken up Judo and I love gaming with friends, whether it be on a PC, Xbox or the Playstation.

What do you like about working at SP2K?

SP2K is a team of really great people whose strengths and weaknesses compliment each other. I've really enjoyed being able to develop my role and been supported and encouraged to do so. I've been recognised for doing a good job and told that work I've done has contributed to growing the business. That makes me feel really good.
